Bring and Collect Service, what is it and what does it comprise?
We offer the possibility to transport your vehicle to one of our Heron centres. This includes the collection and the delivery of your vehicle on its own axle or with one of our automobile transporters. We react flexibly to your requested destination as well as we are able to provide you with a rental car free to the door during the time of our services.
How long does the conversion of the performance kit (control unit) take?
The conversion is being made by one of our licensed Heron centres and will take about 2-3 hours
Is it possible to carry out the performance enhancement via shipping routs?
It is only conditionally possible to carry out a performance enhancement via the shipping route as there can occur problems with the electronic immobilizer on models beginning with the year of construction 1997. The immobilizer could loose its codification. Therefore we recommend seeing a licensed Heron centre as competent partner at your side to assure a trouble-free and smooth course. They will carry out all the necessary work and they will recognize and neutralize problems or conflicts with other components that might appear.
Is the Heron guarantee valid abroad?
The Heron guarantee is valid throughout Europe and can be signed in any Heron centre. Therefore we offer maximum guarantee coverage and maximum protection for our customers.
Who carries out the installation of Heron performance enhancements?
With our licensed Heron centres we offer Europe-wide and qualified contact points in order to carry out Heron performance enhancements on your cars professionally and quickly. Therefore we offer first-class support and nearby personal contact partners. You can find a summary of our centres here
Why doesn’t the manufacturer consider performance enhancements?
During the development of a mass-production vehicle the manufacturer is more concerned with durability without maintenance, functionality even under extreme conditions (tropics or ice) and the cost-efficient classification into various classes of insurance. Furthermore the engines are only developed once and for further models those are being used in different gradations in terms of performance (e.g. VAG 1,8 Ltr. 4 cylinder with 60/75/85/90/95/98/107/110/112/136 HP) but the core is always the same. The maximum performance and the highest terminal velocity are more or less irrelevant in the development of mass-production vehicles. This is where our Heron performance enhancements come into play. In the course of time we have tested and optimized our performance enhancements in order to guarantee a high ability and durability at a maximum of capacity.
Will the manufacturer’s guarantee expire?
The manufacturer’s guarantee expires in parts like the engine, the transmission and the drive. The manufacturer’s guarantee for all other parts of your vehicle (e.g. sun roof) is being preserved fully. For the parts like engine, transmission and drive we nevertheless offer our HERON guarantee in order to maintain the complete guarantee protection of your vehicle.
